We've been obsesssed with hats lately and have found ourselves browsing sites for the past couple weeks. The newsboy hat has been a favorite of ours. This round hat that snaps down on the brim was popular among the paperboys of the 1920's and was made iconic by Jackie Coogan, a child actor in the 1920's films.
Later, Edie Sedgwick made it chic and an absolute must have for the young, hip crowd of London's Carnaby street in the 60's. More recently, in the 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada (our favorite movie of all time), Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs donned a newsboy after her fashion makeover.
